The Stab einer Panzerabteilung (tank battalion staff) was the staff section used on both independent tank battalions and in tank battalions that were part of larger tank formations with as tank regiments. The table of organization and equipment came into effect on 18 December 1943, where it replaced the 1 April 1943 version.
