Each tank platoon was only authorized 11 tanks, compared to the 22 tanks in a Panzer-Division 1944.

The Armored infantry battalion had one Armored infantry company less than that of a Panzer-Division 1944. Instead, the heavy company was made up of two platoons with four 12 cm Granatwerfer 42 mortars instead of one, and each platoon was also equipped with one schwere Wurfrahmen 40 rocket launcher set.

For each Sturmgewehr 44, a total of 720 rounds of ammunition was authorized. Of these, 180 rounds were carried by the soldier, 360 rounds by the supply company, and 180 by the transport column.

Each of the two schwere Wurfrahmen 40 sets was authorized 12 280 mm high explosive and six 320 mm incendiary rockets.
