The Sturmgeschützbatterie (mot) (zu 14 Geschützen) was a combined Sturmgeschütz III Ausf. G and Sturmhaubitze assault gun battery. This Kriegsstärkenachweisung (K St N) (Table of organization and equipment) came into effect on 2 March 1944 as a new unit type. It was later replaced by the 1 June 1944 Kriegsstärkenachweisung 446.

Remarks

  • 6 battery members were to be designated as Auxiliary stretcher bearer.
  • Of the 57 NCOs, 3 were Oberwachtmeister (Master sergeant) and 4 Wachtmeister (Staff sergeant).
  • The company was to have a Gas detection squad consisting of 1 non-commissioned officer and 3 enlisted.
  • When in occupied territory, 10 of the 75 enlisted positions in the Combat train were to be manned by Foreign volunteers, three of which in the train. The positions to be filled were at the discretion of the unit commander.
