Notes

  1. Production of the Pz Kpfw IV was to continue until it could be fully replaced by the Panther. Back

All wheeled and half-tracked reconnaissance vehicles were intended to be replaced by a fully-tracked reconnaissance vehicle based on the Pz Kpfw 38 (t) neuer Art; the Kätzchen, which was still in development. This was not happen until the production of the Pz Kpfw 38 (t) allowed chassis to be diverted from Jagdpanzer production. At this time, Sd Kfz 250 production would be abandoned. Back
  4. The Jagdpanzer 38 was at this time still in development, and was still designated an assault gun, i.e., Sturmgeschütz 38 (t), which was the role it was originally inteded to fill. Back
  5. Noted as an emergency solution. Back
  6. At the time designated Sturmgeschütz neuer Art. Back
  7. Later to be replaced with an assault gun mounting an L/70 gun. As it were, the Jagdpanzer IV was phased out in favor of the Panzer IV/70 (V). Back
